Junior Lifeguard Course

The American Red Cross revised Junior Lifeguarding program is designed to guide youths ages 11-14 to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. The course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of future lifeguards. This course has a set lesson plan that includes developing swimming skills and practicing in-water rescues. The course is designed to be taught in approximately 30 hours. Participants will receive an introduction to first aid, CPR and AED knowledge and skills. A certificate of completion will be given to those who successfully complete the course, but is not an indication that the person is trained to be a lifeguard. **Participants MUST complete all 30 hours of this course to receive a certificate of completion.** Registration: May 21st-June 11th (Class size will be limited. Registration will close once class is full.) Ages: 11-14 years Program Dates: June 11th-July 13th Days/Times: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 3:15pm-5:15pm Cost: $60/members $75/non-members
